We like reading your stuff. Hubby’s reaction, Bag’s paying too much for insurance (check Geico he said) and how do you know when you’re in a city you’re not familiar with one of these driverless cars isn’t taking you the longest way?

My reaction, my money has been on Tesla from the beginning. Looking forward to this future development.

Fun read!

Long hauling, lol …. Taxis would do that, cause they were paid by the mile - the autonomous cars are paid by the trip, so they are incentivized to take the shortest path….. BTW the $1560 is Geico ;-)

That's funny, I'm a Honda CRV guy myself. Never any issues with the car, knock on wood.

>Tesla revenues will look like when every car on the road is forced by Governments

You mean USA government. Tesla cannot compete outside USA and is only competitive within USA while Trump's tariffs are in force. Possibly Trump can strongarm Canada, Mexico, Central America to form united North America tariff bloc but that's the limit of where Tesla can compete. And to reiterate, only with massive tariffs in place.

I agree the tariffs will help, but he doesn’t need them. He has created the top selling electric sedan on the planet - currently number one in North America & number four in Europe. His model Y is also the top selling vehicle in all of China. To think he can’t compete on the world stage, with or without tariffs, seems a little off.

Tesla is being crushed in China and will soon by crushed by Chinese EV exports outside China, except where protected from competition by tariffs. EV market is changing fast:

Crushed all the way to number one :-)

Your OP was very interesting and convincing regarding the replacement of private ICE/EV with shared EV. But you have a blind spot about which EV will dominate. Go look at the first article I linked to, first few paragraphs. For 2024, BYD outsells Tesla 6 to 1, Geely 2 to 1. And Tesla is collapsing in world sales in 2025 (second link).
